I need guidance to select a profile for xfce4 with systems in my installation phase. The hardware architecture which I am using is 64-bit.

If I understood well, since you're using systemd, you already have a merged-usr so I would go for [24] 23.0/desktop/systemd

There is also Number-10 having merge-usr and (exp) * I don't know what it is?
There is a slight difference between profiles No 23 and 24 .23 is for I think openrc and 24 for systemd only.

gardenair,

Check your current profile first.
That's [10] from your image. Do not change it yet.

You need to migrate to [24].
Follow the news item for that but wait until your system can boot for itself.

Thanks for guiding me. So it means at the moment of installation I may select

Code: Select all

# eselect profile set 10
[/profile] later I shall migrate on profile [24] but until my system may boot for itself.

So the logic/reason behind it?
