Kernel not recognizing your hardware? Problems with power management or PCMCIA? What hardware is compatible with Gentoo? See here. (Only for kernels supported by Gentoo.)

[Solved] Atheros QCA6174 card with ath10k failed to load

I am trying to compile a new kernel (5.15.52, though I've tried this on 5.19 with the same results) and I ran into a strange error. I am using an Atheros QCA6174, with the ath10k driver. Lsmod shows the module is loaded, and also lspci shows this, but it is not active. Ip a shows nothing, and OpenRC can't start my wifi connection. My dmesg (full output at the end) comes up with this:

Code: Select all

[ 8.255389] ath10k_pci 0000:01:00.0: failed to alloc CE src ring 0: -12
[ 8.255392] ath10k_pci 0000:01:00.0: failed to allocate copy engine pipe 0: -12
[ 8.255393] ath10k_pci 0000:01:00.0: failed to allocate copy engine pipes: -12
[ 8.255394] ath10k_pci 0000:01:00.0: failed to setup resource: -12
[ 8.255443] ath10k_pci: probe of 0000:01:00.0 failed with error -12
I haven't found anything online about this issue, so hopefully other people know how to fix it? Thanks in advance.
