Developers: what's your setup?

So, I'm wondering what kind of software you're using and where you got it.

I'm currently on kde and looking to get into software development for linux, but I'm not sure what direction to go. I currently have kate, git and gdb installed but I'm wondering what others are using, how they got it and how they got infected with it

, so I can make a well informed decision.

Most of the tools needed I get here within the Gentoo Repositories, other users ebuilds, or just use my own ebuilds, but for my work within React & JS the tools are easy to come by. My WM is bwspm along with few other creature comforts!

nodejs, Postman, SQLtabs(I build myself), Atom for my IDE
