[Solved]/usr/lib/portage/python3.6/helper-functions.sh:segfa

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

after building and before installing any package, i got following errors:
/usr/lib/portage/python3.6/helper-functions.sh: line 20: 24094 Segmentation fault mkfifo -m 600 "${pipe}"
/usr/lib/portage/python3.6/helper-functions.sh: line 20: 24153 Segmentation fault mkfifo -m 600 "${pipe}"
I've moved to Python3.6 on all my 3 PCs, but only one has that error.
What can trigger that segfault?

That's very odd, looks like the 'mkfifo' binary itself is segfaulting...

Can you run (for example) 'mkfifo -m 600 mkfifo /tmp/mkfifo-pipe' yourself?
If that fails, how about 'mknod -m 600 /tmp/mknod-pipe p', which does the same thing?

Does dmesg report anything, and are all 3 PCs identical in configuration?

It COULD be memory corruption, bad ram can throw up random but repeatable errors like that.

yep, mkfifo was segfaulting. reinstalled coreutils. now it's okay
imo, the reason is powercut, rootfs was little corrupted
