Hello I have a laptop which has an NVIDIA as a discrete GPU and an integrated Intel GPU. As I know this is called NVIDIA Optimus. I also want to use Photoshop and similar applications which run best on Windows. For this I have a virtual machine, Virtualbox, which runs Windows. I do not use my NVIDIA GPU in Gentoo, but I would like to use it in the virtual machine for better video and image rendering. What is the best way in which I can do that?

setting up the nvidia / intel gpu thing should be possible according to the gentoo wiki / gentoo handbook
when you use the closed source nvidia-drivers you get opengl 4.5 afaik when you have a decent card.
Depending on which virtualization you use, you have to check the documentation for htose on how to setup it..

I usually use dosbox and wine to utilize windows application in linux.
when you use a bit older software or popular software it usually works with wine.
