Ersatz für truecrypt

Hallo zusammen,

nachdem es jetzt wohl endgültig so weit ist, dass truecrypt endgültig über die Wupper geht

und die "Nachfolge-" Version aus der Schweiz noch nicht so weit ist suche ich nach einer Alternative.

Im genannten Bugreport https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=561952 wird auch über Veracrypt gesprochen, was wohl aber keiner Betreuen will, da zu aufwendig. Zu mindest lautet so die dortige Begründung. Außerdem ist es nicht im Portagetree.


Das sollte die gewünschte Software können:

• Verschlüsselung in Form von Containern
• stable
• Plattformunabhängig (zu mindest auch unter Windows verfügbar)
• einfach zu benutzen, mittels einer GUI
• evtl. Unterstützung versteckter Container (plausible denyability)
• evtl. die Möglichkeit ganze Devices verschlüsseln zu können

Vielleicht hat sich bei Euch schon was bewährt.
Ich bin dankbar für jeden Tipp!

On my linux boxes I use dm-crypt for encryption. However, that solution does not work when I need to exchange data with mac/windows. Is there an alternative to truecrypt that works on linux and mac/windows?

At the moment I use VeraCrypt from my personal overlay https://github.com/dsiggi/dsiggis-gento ... /veracrypt.
But now I will test Librecrypt.
