Firebird Fonts

What fonts and font sizes are you guys using with Mozilla-Firebird, I just cant get it to feel right, like I used to have it, and I cant rememebr witch fonts wheer used etc.

Hmmmm.... Well, Firebird has a nice thing where it auto-detects fonts and uses what it thinks looks best. You may think this is stupid, but it's actually quite nice! So, what I'm using:

USE="bindist" emerge freetype && ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge corefonts && emerge ttf-bitstream-vera

Pages look a hell of a lot better after you've emerged the freefonts and corefonts.

My Firebird fonts prefs are at default.

You may try this. Go to ~/.phoenix/default/?????.slt/chrome

There you'll find a file called userChrome-example.css. Add the following code to the end

windows, dialog, wizard, page, popup, menupopup, menubar,
menu, toolbox, toolbar, urlbar, tabbrowser, statusbar,
menuitem, button {
        font-family: Arial !important;
	font-size: 12pt !important;
}

Then save that file as userChrome.css and restart Firebird.

After emerging the fnts I go tthe following, so how do I go about updating config files?

 * GNU info directory index is up-to-date.
 * IMPORTANT: 25 config files in /etc need updating.
 * IMPORTANT: 50 config files in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb need updating.
