Listing font names?

OK, I've searched, googled like crazy but I can't find it.

Essentially I want to set up a different font for aterm in .Xdefaults, but if I set to something like, for example, 'Luxi Mono' it makes no odds.

I presume I have to give it the full name with all the hyphens and digits.

I remember from a long time ago that there was a command to list all your fonts in a full form, but I just can't remember it..

Anyone?

have you tried xfontsel?

For applications that use fonts from XF86Config you can't type them like that, that's fontconfig.
