Hi everyone,
I don't know if this is the correct place where to write, but since I am new to this embedded computer,
I didn't find an ad-hoc forum related to the subject.
Anyway...I created and installed the provided image (by lemarker) on SD and i ran system.
My problem is that, since I am not in my city I don't have a way to connect to device locally with keyboard and display, so
I need to use remote connection: this is my problem since connecting bananapi over ethernet (using my gentoo pc as dhcp server),
I am not able to connect to; I used same technique using bananian os and then i was able to configure wifi dongle.
So from this point of view I am blind...Is there someone has used gentoo bananapi image and knows if this is configured to start with dhcp client configuration and ssh server?
I supposed to be sure it was, but it seems not.
Someone knows how I can login as remote user?

the SSHd should listen on port 22 by default.
To reach the server from outside you have to forwarding the ssh-service in your router configuration.
I had installed various distributions on my Banana Pi and every time the Pi runs headless.
SSHd runs every time from the first boot by default.
But i have to admit that i don't try LeMedia or the linked Gentoo on lemaker.org
Maybe this (Gentoo)release linked on http://www.lemaker.org/resources/9-38/image_files.html is only
for the Banana Pro. That suggests the name of the link to me.

thanks for your response...on lemark you can choose gentoo image for pro or pi as you prefer.
I was surprised that eth0 was not able to ask for an IP address to my dhcp server.
So I don't even know if gentoo was really running or stuck somewhere...

There have been a number of problems related to Lemaker and others involved with the Banana Pi. Read the http://linux-sunxi.org/Banana_Pi for some details. Here is some posts I made concerning correct CFLAGS for the Banana Pi https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1 ... ight-.html.
I personally would stay away from anything from Lemaker and some others out there. It is not just simply their inexperience, but numerous claims of malicious content being found in images from Lemaker. There has been a long on going legal battle over ownership, trademarks, and domain ownership. Some parties have clear intentions of harming other parties. Rather than attempt to figure out who can be trusted, it's best to stay away.
The safest bet, is to build your own kernel and boot files from the Linux-Sunxi.org git repositories, you can manually add the patches from Lemaker git repository, or compile the kernel, boot files from the Lemaker repository, and get an Arm Stage 3 from an approved Gentoo Mirror. Download both kernel and boot repositories and do a diff on them to see what Lemaker added. All the documentation and get repositories from Lemaker, have been copied from Linux-Sunxi.org. Lemaker has not produced much original content, and does not follow standard Linux practices, like providing patches to upstream, for example to Linux-Sunxi.org.
I just right now, started a wiki on Banana Pi the Gentoo way. I have a lot of notes to go through and layout the full details yet. But will be getting it finished this week.

You will be a lot better off, if you take the time to learn how to do a Gentoo build from scratch. It is a great learning process, and a great building block for future use.
