How to set epiphany toolbar to icons only

  • Quote

Post by dave.fraser » Tue Oct 28, 2003 6:03 pm

I don't use gnome desktop, but have recently installed epiphany and am very happy with it...except: I can't set the toolbar to icons only, instead of the default icons+text. I tried emerging gnome control center, and changed the appropriate setting, but this worked for all the gnome apps I run except for epiphany. Any ideas?

I'm not exactly sure how you can do it, since you do not have GNOME installed.

However, in GNOME's control center there is an option to do this to applications that follow GNOME's standards, which Epiphany closely does.

The "Menus and Toolbars" option of the GNOME control center allows you to do "Icons without Text" and changes would take effect immediatly with no need to restart the application.

I've already tried that - like I said, it works fine for all gnome apps apart from epiphany :(

It occurred to me that I had -gnome as a USE setting, so I tried re-emerging epiphany with gnome support, but to no avail...
