Remove everything unneeded (neither dependency nor in world):

# emerge --depclean -a

Fix possible breakages:

# emerge -av --keep-going --quiet-build y @preserved-rebuild
# revdep-rebuild -i -- -av --keep-going --quiet-build y

Nothing to be build? Try rebuilding ffmpeg.
