Problem emerging perl 5.6.1

hello

i've got a problem to ermging perl 5.6.1

i'm running gentoo 1.3a / gcc 3.1-r7

emerge perl fails with :

i found the bug in bugzilla here : http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4981

but no solution

can anyone help me ?

Apologies for the culturally rude suggestion, but could you try:

# LC_ALL="C" emerge perl

...to see if it is a locale issue? What is your locale?

my locale is fr_FR@euro

with export LC_ALL="C" it fails too...

you're right man !

it's a locale problem

export LC_ALL doesn't works so i try to modify my /etc/env.d/00basic to have LC_ALL to C

one reboot after emerge works perfectly !

There are several components of a locale, like currency, language, etc. LC_ALL effectively sets all of them at the same time.
