Evolution 1.4.5

I am having trouble emerging evolution 1.4.5
Here is what I do:

And here is what I get :

Well libgtkhtml-3.0 is obviously not being found, quesionts/comments/suggestions? on a quick way to fix this without manually going to installing gtkhtml-3.0 and making sure the PKG_CONFIG_PATH is set?

This may have something to do with the fact I am running gnome 2.6beta1?? It is a fresh nuke/pave install of gentoo so it has never had a stable gnome.

Do you have libgtkhtml-3.0 installed? 3.1 is what comes with the BMG Gnome beta ebuilds. Your error says it's specifically looking for libgtkhtml-3.0.pc, which isn't what libgtkhtml-3.1 creates (I think).

Since you're running Gnome beta, why not try evolution 1.5? It depends on libgtkthml-3.1.9. I run the Gnome beta from BMG too, and it sometimes does have problems finding dependencies when I try to install a slightly older program that depends on Gnome in some way. Easier just to go with the newest versions of everything instead of mixing old with new. Evolution 1.5.5 works wonderfully for me.

i am running BMG gnome beta as well. I would also suggest going with evolution 1.5...works great for me....

Thanks, emerging 1.5.5 now. I have been out of the loop so long that when I looked in /usr/portage/net-mail/evolution and saw only 1.2.x and 1.4.5 i forgot to check on BMG.
