partion tabel problems

Ok after meny hours of solving all my other problems.
I finnaly get to the part where is install GRUB.

But now my bigest problem show it self.

When I run the grub command i get the following output:

Code: Select all

Probing devices to guess BIOS drives. This may tke a long time.
end_request: I/O error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 0

I'm still waiting after 2 hours, should this take so long ?

Before I try LILO I would like to if there is any thing I could try?

Because I don;t like LILO

On my xp 2400+ with 512 ram it takes 1-2 minutes. Unfortunately I have no idea what might be causing it to take so long or freeze all together.

Ok I has some things to do with my hard dirve partion tabel or some thing.
Nou the kernel is spitting out the following message:

When I boot from both the 1.4 or the new livecd I get the error message above.
If I do nothning the error message is also displayed after a minute or 2.

This happens when I'm editing my partions in cfdisk.
Lilo wouldn't install in to MBR, so started all over again.
