[SOLVED]fbrun for Wayland (labwc)

Hi,

I've been looking into Wayland-based alternatives to the Fluxbox session I run on my headless home server box via TigerVNC server (Xvnc). Labwc is looking promising but one thing I am missing is the launcher, fbrun.

I have seen suggestions for alts such as wofi and fuzzel, but these are far more featured than I really want. All I need is an app that
  • Gives me a textfield to type an arbitrary command (don't even need tab-completion)
  • Remembers the last few commands and lets me key-up to access them
Does anything this basic exist for Wayland? If not, it seems simple enough that I might just break my gui-coding cherry to give it a go myself.

[And yes, I can keep using fbrun via XWayland of course, but this is an exercise to see if I still need to.]

I use x11-misc/gmrun, though it's under x11 category, it works perfectly fine under wayland.

Has auto-completion and history, basically just needs gtk:3.
UM780 xtx, 6.18 zen kernel, gcc 15, openrc, wayland
minixforum m1-s1 max -- same software as above but used for ai learning

Oh that's exactly what I'm after, thanks!

I sailed right past that one because its ebuild description has it as:
Description: A GTK-2 based launcher box with bash style auto completion!
I feel a bugreport coming on lol

ETA: I looked it up in b.g.o and see that it is rather unloved and was suggested to [bug=957136]treeclean[/bug]. I lobbied gently for its survival but I guess a new maintainer might be needed.
