This happened after I enabled the "initramfs" USE flag and re-emerged intel-microcode. The "dist-kernel" USE flag was already enabled system-wide. I'm having a hard time figuring out why exactly kernel-install is failing in the post-installation phase. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure if it's relevant, but I'm currently using a distribution kernel (gentoo-kernel) UKI with systemd, dracut and efistub. I also use systemd-gpt-auto-generator instead of an fstab file. I've had no issues prior to this point.
