Is the dependency missing from Kate?

I guess so:

Code: Select all

DEPEND="
        >=dev-qt/qtbase-${QTMIN}:6=[dbus,gui,network,widgets,X]
        ~kde-apps/kate-lib-${PV}:6
        >=kde-frameworks/kcoreaddons-${KFMIN}:6
        >=kde-frameworks/kdbusaddons-${KFMIN}:6
        >=kde-frameworks/ki18n-${KFMIN}:6
        >=kde-frameworks/kwindowsystem-${KFMIN}:6[X]
        virtual/libintl
"
RDEPEND="${DEPEND}
        ~kde-apps/kate-addons-${PV}:6
        >=kde-apps/kate-common-${PV}
"
Some day there will only be free software.

Please always share the full build.log. That CMake notice isn't the actual error.

Sorry. I should have. It's gone now because I emerged kuserfeedback and continued my emerge @world.

OK. It's optional at https://invent.kde.org/utilities/kate/- ... ts.txt#L87 and the ebuild doesn't expose it with a USE=telemetry (so it is automagic), but I don't think it would've been the cause of your problem (except perhaps if it was needing a rebuild/wasn't yet usable, but automagically picked up).

EDIT: No, that's part of kate-lib, so indeed, I see no problem here at all.

Well, the next time it happens I'll be sure to include the log.

Ithere is a discussion either here or in bug repots about dependencies of kate, qtspeech (?) and kate-libs. They where not triggered in the right order and kate emerge failed for me couple of days ago as well.
After emerge --resume skip-first returning to kate all worked

That's what I usually do as well.
