[SOLVED] satdump ebuild fails due to dev-cpp/sol2

This forum covers all Gentoo-related software not officially supported by Gentoo. Ebuilds/software posted here might harm the health and stability of your system(s), and are not supported by Gentoo developers. Bugs/errors caused by ebuilds from overlays.gentoo.org are covered by this forum, too.

[SOLVED] satdump ebuild fails due to dev-cpp/sol2

I'm trying to compile satdump using this ebuild but it fails early on with this error

Code: Select all

error: ‘class sol::optional<T&>’ has no member named ‘construct’ [-Wtemplate-body]
A quick googling showed me this https://github.com/ThePhD/sol2/issues/1695

The mentioned patch seems to be present already as sol2-3.3.1-fix-emplace.patch

emerge --info net-wireless/satdump
build log file

I'm unsure how to proceed, so any help is appreciated

Thank you

The satdump use a bundled sol2 package , so sol2-3.3.1-fix-emplace.patch present in dev-cpp/sol2 package is irrivelant.
You should apply the sol2-3.3.1-fix-emplace.patch patch at src-core/libs/sol2/sol.hpp file in the satdump package.
