Request DNS from pfSense router running VPN with netifrc?

Hi,

My Gentoo box is behind a pfSense router running a Proton VPN. I'm trying to configure /etc/conf.d/net using netifrc and need to know what should be used for dns_servers_eno1? Should I just give the routing address (e.g. routes_eno1) as the DNS server IP? I used to just enter DNS servers directly (before the VPN) in the dns_servers_eno1 field, but since Proton's VPN has it's own DNS servers, I'm wondering how to request these DNS servers from the router.

Yes use the router ip.
Or just use dhcp and comment it out.
:)

Thanks.

Also, tried to write [Solved] in title, but for some reason only so many characters are allowed in these forum titles, so it's either have the title make sense, or truncate it.

That is a problem with the forum. If the title is already to long, you need to truncate it.
Adding solved is a good idea, but not a requirement
