Hi I want to find all locked and closet topics and discussions of this forum, how to do it?
My topic was closed "[security] dev.gentoo.org/SOMEONE everywhere"
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1175929.html
and I am curious what other interesting topic are closed too.

I didn't found way to do it with https://forums.gentoo.org/search.php

Moved from 'Gentoo Chat' to 'Gentoo Forums Feedback'.

As far as I know there isn't a way to do that. Unless you're an admin with rights to query the raw forum database.

What the reason for you to list only topics that you cannot interact with?

Code: Select all

init=/sbin/openrc-init
-systemd -logind -elogind seatd

This is sad, this means locked discussions is removed, only available by direct links.

I think the threads are still linked from the index page of their respective forums, and are still publicly viewable. However, without a central search, that would mean reading every index page of every forum, for however far back you want to look. You might be able to abuse an external search engine's site: filter in conjunction with some string that appears only in locked threads.

They are not removed, you can sill navigate to them through the forum hierarchy, unless they got manually purged in addition to being locked (e.g. spam). There just aren't that many locked topic here, because nobody closes topics for being old or resolved, unlike in case of some other forums. This might give the impression that they are "gone" if that's the standard you're used to.
Oh, and the builtin search has a pretty short memory. It won't find old topics that are not locked either. Use external search for that instead.

trickygnome,

Your locked topic is still in your history. Please check.
Locked topics are not removed. Like all other inactive topics, they just stop being used.
We even keep spam. It is moved to a forum that only the team have access to.
