Hallo
Ich habe keine Ahnung wieso, aber kmail wollte nicht mehr starten.
Dann habe ich in .config und .local/share alle akonadi verzeichnisse gelöscht und immer noch das Problem.

So nachdem ich noch mal ein bisschen geguckt habe scheint mariadb das Problem zu sein.
Ich habe auch mal zum testen eine vorherige Version benutzt weil ich hier im Forum einen ähnlichen post gefunden habe, leider ohne Erfolg.

Wegen der Fehlermeldung "Can't create test file '/var/lib/mysql/gentupe.lower-test'"
habe ich die Datei mal versucht manuell anzulegen, das funktioniert

Jetzt habe ich noch mal einen neuen Testuser angelegt, das Problem besteht dort auch.

Hat wirklich keiner eine Idee, Kmail ist zur zeit für mich unbenutzbar.
Ich habe vorsichtshalber so einige Programme die mit Kmail arbeiten auch noch neu kompiliert.

hm, ein bisschen rätselhaft...

Was ich sagen kann, ist, dass akonadi eine eigene instanz der datenbank selber startet. die systemweite instanz, die man mit systemctl startet ist für akonadi nicht nötig.
Es ist aber interessant, dass das auch nicht geht...

mir ist noch das aufgefallen:

org.kde.pim.akonadiserver: mysqld for Akonadi is already running, trying to connect to it.

das klingt so, als ob bereits eine instanz der datenbank läfut, als akonadi gestartet wurde. evtl macht das probleme, weil du die verzeichnis gelöscht hast, als diese instanz noch lief.

Versuche mal, akonadi zu beenden (akonadictl stop) und prüfe mit ps/htop..., dass es gestoppt ist, und auch mariadb gestoppt ist (taucht als mysql in ps auf) und wenn ja beende es per hand (kill ...)
dann lösche/umbenene noch mal die akonadi verzeichnisse in .config und .local/share.
dann solltest du auf einen sauberen stand sein und versuche dann nochmal akonadi zu starten (akonadictl start)
Sollte zwar das selbe sein, wie einen neuen user zu machen, aber, sonst hab ich keine Ahnung, was man noch probieren könnte.

you need to be the system 'darfwas' user to connect.
After connecting you can set the password, if you would need to be
able to connect as any of these users with a password and without sudo

Das Fenster was dann im KDE Desktop aufpoppt bleibt bei "akonadi_migration_agent" 66% stehen.

Akonadi scheint zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht zu laufen
