Pipewire doesn't work

I wanted to set up Pipewire to work with my bluetooth headphones, and as the title states: it doesn't work!
It doesn't appear to even be running, because when I run

Error: "failed to connect: Host is down"

that's what I get. My xinitrc:

And a relevant line in i3 config:

exec --no-startup-id gentoo-pipewire-launcher &

Obviously, there is no sound.

Edit: (My user is in pipewire and audio groups.)

Something appears to be running, according to these lines in htop:

Okay, I'm onto something. I tried running pipewire -v in terminal and it spit out this error message:

So I've gone ahead and created `/tmp/pipewire/pipewire-0.lock` and, after running gentoo-pipewire-launcher, everything worked. But why didn't it create that file on it's own?
That is strange.

Anyway, I'll add something like `exec mkdir /tmp/pipewire && touch /tmp/pipewire/pipewire-0.lock` to my i3 config as a workaround. Feel free to suggest a better solution :/
