I'd like to learn Dvorak touch-typing as fast (and as well) as possible; is there any helpful software (that anyone has actually used, I don't want to waste my time with something that isn't helpful) that I can use to learn? Not exactly Gentoo specific, but I figured someone here knows :P

https://keyboard.experimental.software/
This is not exactly what you are looking for, but you can use your current Qwerty keyboard to experiment with typing on the Dvorak layout. It is challenging and interesting to say the least. Remember to keep your fingers on the keys and your eyes on the screen.

Learning the layout would take serious time and practice to develop high level typing skills. It is not proven to be significantly faster or time saving for most people so it may not be worth your time in the end. Finger strain, possibly, but I have never experienced finger strain typing on a Qwerty keyboard.

I thought it was fun to try regardless.
