[s] smartctl fails to get info: scsi error unsupported field

I can't read this hard drive via USB via smartctl. I'm able to hit it with hdparm, though. Am I missing a driving or something? I just want to get the smart infos.

You can try smartctl -d sat ...
see if that help.
