Hyphenation in Gimp

My Gimp doesn't hyphenate text in textboxes. Other programs do.
I expected to find a missing use flag, but nothing is relevant for my understanding.

Does anybody have hints?

It does for me in English and my native language without any special care.

Here it says something about paragraph/text-box layouting, if you know how to do that...

Thank you Georgi for your answer. I have found that document, and also other random resources saying that it should work out of the box (no settings). In my case, it doesn't work.

Maybe it needs spelling tools installed like aspell? I have: aspell, gspell, myspell, hunspell, enchant and hyphen installed. At leas those are the ones eix finds have spell or hyphen in their description that are installed on my system.

Plus for some of the packages I have English as well as my native language packages, some use L10N use expand var. Check those. I suspect gspell is vital as it's a GTK spelling library and GTK stands for GIMP ToolKit.

What is the environment you use it in? It might be relevant. I'm using Gnome.

If there's somebody else using something else, please report if hyphenation work for you.
