librewolf fails build translate x86_64-gentoo-musl for rustc

I'm having this problem where when librewolf is configuring it fails with don't know how to translate x86_64-gentoo-linux-musl for rustc.
I have found a lot of bug reports concerning this in firefox and I it is a problem with rustc not recognizing x86_64-gentoo-linux-musl because before it was x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.
However none of the patches would apply and I am getting at a loss for how to resolve this problem.

can someone help me out?

Thanks in advance

Can help the bug #915651?

This does resolve the first rust issue, bringing me straight into the next error: failed to run custom build command for gecko-profiler v0.1.0

build.log: https://paste.gentoo.zip/1qNwNWgs
seems similar to: viewtopic-p-8759859.html?sid=8bce9e9b45 ... e47ff2ea3b
but in this thread they just include patches from a higher version?
When trying to download those I get Response object too large.

You mention safe cflags, I'm now trying to build with -O2 and no flto.
which doesn't resolve it.
