Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Code: Select all

gentoo ~ # emerge -NuDav @world

You're running a stable system but some ~arch bits, but not enough.

I've unslotted OpenEXR to avoid the significant number of problems with that approach, but you'll need to put the package list from bug 833158 into package.accept_keywords for now (or remove all of the relevant bits from package.accept_keywords entirely, then things will be fine).

Thanks
Exactly what I needed.
Good luck for the stabilization....

I have a stable system with some ~arch bits. sam_, could you clarify your "remove all the relevant bits from package.accept_keywords" statement? None of the applications listed in the aforementioned bug, nor any of the applications equery shows as depending on openexr are in my package.accept_keywords:

Code: Select all

# equery depends openexr
 * These packages depend on openexr:
dev-games/openscenegraph-3.6.5-r101 (openexr ? media-libs/openexr)
kde-apps/kio-extras-21.08.3-r1 (openexr ? media-libs/openexr)
kde-frameworks/kimageformats-5.90.0 (openexr ? media-libs/openexr:3)
media-gfx/blender-2.93.6 (openexr ? media-libs/openexr)
media-gfx/darktable-3.6.1-r2 (openexr ? media-libs/openexr)
media-gfx/enblend-4.2.0_p20161007-r1 (media-libs/openexr)
media-gfx/gimp-2.10.28-r1 (openexr ? >=media-libs/openexr-1.6.1)
media-gfx/hugin-2020.0.0-r1 (media-libs/openexr:0)
media-gfx/imagemagick-7.1.0.13 (openexr ? media-libs/openexr:0)
media-gfx/krita-4.4.8-r1 (openexr ? <media-libs/openexr-3.0.0:0)
media-gfx/openvdb-7.1.0-r5 (media-libs/openexr:0)
media-gfx/povray-3.7.0.0-r1 (openexr ? <media-libs/openexr-3.0.0:0)
media-libs/devil-1.7.8-r2 (openexr ? media-libs/openexr)
media-libs/freeimage-3.18.0-r3 (openexr ? media-libs/openexr:0)
media-libs/gegl-0.4.32 (openexr ? >=media-libs/openexr-1.6.1)
media-libs/opencv-4.5.4 (openexr ? <media-libs/openexr-3.0.0:0[abi_x86_32(-)?,abi_x86_64(-)?,abi_x86_x32(-)?,abi_mips_n32(-)?,abi_mips_n64(-)?,abi_mips_o32(-)?,abi_s390_32(-)?,abi_s390_64(-)?])
media-libs/openimageio-2.2.18.0-r1 (>=media-libs/openexr-2.2.0-r2:0)
media-libs/osl-1.11.16.0-r2 (media-libs/openexr:0)
media-libs/vigra-1.11.1-r3 (openexr ? media-libs/openexr)
Did you really mean that all of the applications above need to be put in package.accept_keywords for now, or alternatively, the 'openexr' flag needs to be removed from package.use? I'm unclear as to what "relevant bits" I would need to remove from package.accept_keywords to fix this blockage on a stable system.

No need to put anything into package.accept_keywords, just emerge --sync again and it should work.

Yesterday sam_'s post fixed this issue for me. Thank you. (I was having the same issue as OP.) As of today (with a new rsync) the additional package.accept_keywords are no longer needed.

Thanks all. I had masked ilmbase-2.5.7-r1 yesterday; now emerge is running cleanly again with -r2.
