Gentoo on RG-350

Gentoo on RG-350

Interesting to know if someone tried to run gentoo on RG-350 game console and any info on how to start with building gentoo for this device.

specs:
CPU: JZ4770 dual 1.0 GHz
RAM: DDR2 512MB
Screen: 3.5 inch IPS screen; 320x240 resolution; 4:3 aspect ratio, 60hz refresh rate with sync, no tearing.
TF-card: Support TF card max to 128GB
Speaker: High-quality double horn stereo speaker
Headphone: Support 3.5mm stereo earphones

It seems to be a 32 bit MIPS based CPU.
The last Gentoo MIPS stages are from 2014.
The GPU is unlikely to be open, which means you will either run it as a framebuffer, so the GPU won't be used at all or you will need evil binary modules for the kernel, which will tie you to a kernel contemporary with the device, if they exist and can be found.

It would be an interesting intellectual exercise to do it but of not practical value whatsoever.

I suspect that you will be leading the way, so you will be very much on your own.
If you know where to start, go ahead and try. If not, practice the skills you will need on something known to work.
That way you can separate out problems with lack of skills and problems with Gentoo not working.
