How do I change the user data, like name [Solved]

Having problems with the Gentoo Handbook? If you're still working your way through it, or just need some info before you start your install, this is the place. All other questions go elsewhere.

How do I change the user data, like name [Solved]

I have re-installed my entire system anew, but found a typo for my user data. I apparently double tapped the 't' at the end of my first name and now it comes up as Robertt.
How do I go about changing this.
I re-installed about 6 months ago and it took me nearly the entire week getting it just how I want it and I do not wish to go through that again.
This is not my login user name but my real name.

..... Some people can tell what time it is by looking at the sun, but I have never been able to make out the numbers.

For those who find this thread via search - command to edit passwd file:

Code: Select all

man vipw
My Gentoo installation notes.
Please learn how to denote units correctly!
