ccache requested but no masquerade dir can be found

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

I installed (then unmerged and merged again) dev-util/ccache-3.5.1a. While emerge is working the following warning appears:

Code: Select all

Warning: ccache requested but no masquerade dir can be found in /usr/lib*/ccache/bin
I have no /usr/lib*/ccache/bin or /usr/lib*/ccache/.
My make.conf

Code: Select all

CFLAGS="-march=sandybridge -O2"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
CPU_FLAGS_X86="aes avx mmx mmxext pclmul popcnt sse sse2 sse3 sse4_1 sse4_2 ssse3"
CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu"
GRUB_PLATFORMS="pc"
INPUT_DEVICES="libinput synaptics"
VIDEO_CARDS="nvidia intel i915 i965"
USE="bash-completion -bindist bzip2 -cdda consolekit dbus -egl ffmpeg -gbm glamor -gstreamer -harfbuzz idm mmx sse sse2 urandom -gtk -gnome -qt -qt3 -qt4 -qt5 -kde alsa -X unicode -bluetooth -ipv6 jpeg lock -opencl pam policykit -pulseaudio session -startup-notification thunar udev udisks upower -vdpau vaapi -libnotify -cups -test xvmc nvidia"
XFCE_PLUGINS="clock trash power"
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64"
ACCEPT_LICENSE="*"
LINGUAS="ru"
MAKEOPTS="-j2"
EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS="--jobs=2 --load-average=8 "
FEATURES="${FEATURES} ccache"
CCACHE_DIR="/var/ccache"
CCACHE_RECACHE=yes
PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/tmp"
PORTDIR="/var/portage"
DISTDIR="${PORTDIR}/distfiles"

Code: Select all

# cat /var/ccache/ccache.conf
max_size = 5.0G
umask = 002
compiler_check = %compiler% -v
cache_dir_levels = 3
Is anyone here?

Same here - the warning goes away after

Code: Select all

mkdir -p /usr/lib/ccache/bin/
but I'm not sure whether that constitutes a solution.

You probably don't have ccache installed.

Try installing it

Code: Select all

dev-util/ccache
and see if that fixes the issue.
