- Rename the .mozilla folder using mv as root
- Login as user
- Try starting Mozilla Firefox

If Mozilla Firefox starts, import your bookmarks and settings if required from the old profile. I've seen similar issues before with other programs that an upgrade caused a user profile to break. Simply removing the application settings and starting over resolves the issue and is likely not to be seen again in quite a while.

Did you happen to receive a GTK+ upgrade when you emerged Mozilla Firefox along the way?
Have you verified broken dependencies using revdep-rebuild?

Deleted profile mozilla.
I launch firefox, and also an error.
Ports updated, revdep-rebuild did and revdep-rebuild.sh.
Disguised as a new version of Mozilla
Restarted world updates.
Mozilla profile is not created.

firefox is launched under the root and under another normal user.
Why on my user error?
I do not want to delete my profile in the system.

After deleting my user profile in the system, logged in again, firefox opened.
Just had to re-configure all the hotkeys and buns.
What was the problem interesting.

This sometimes just happens with an upgrade of a package. I've seen it several times before, especially with Firefox. I don't exactly know why. I'm glad it's solved though.
