I am currently in the process of setting up a new gentoo system and have recently installed grub2. The system boots fine, but there is an issue that I think is not quiet right and probably is due to an error on my part when emerging grub2.
At that time I seemed to remember that on my old machine grub2 was slotted (that was when grub legacy was still there and alive) and therefore used
Code: Select all
emerge grub:2Code: Select all
sys-boot/grub
sys-boot/grub:2Code: Select all
equery files grub
equery files grub:2I would now like to "unslot" grub from slot 2 and also get rid of the double grub entry in my world file as I like to have things clean. What's the best course of action for this? I assume simply deleting the line with sys-boot/grub:2 from my world file is not the recomened way to achieve this.
Thanks Atom2
