Per the thread title I don't know how to eject discs without manually umount(ing) /dev/sr0

I (user) am in the disk, cdrom, cdrw, plugdev and usb groups (if indeed they're relevant [?])

fstab:

Code: Select all

     <fs> <mountpoint> <type> <opts> <dump/pass>
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom auto user,noauto,exec,rw,utf8 1 2
The only other things I can think to mention that may or may not matter are that dbus is running, I use sys-apps/uam (default config) for automounting and eudev (likewise).

Hope someone can help, more so that I know what I missed in my setup rather than the minor inconvenience.

The command "eject" works for me. I then set up a hotkey to run that command... tada.
