CCSM broken

  • Quote

Post by Silent-Hunter » Sun Dec 08, 2013 8:54 pm

After installing MATE, and reinstalling Compiz, Emerald, and CCSM, CCSM looks like this:

Did I do something wrong?

EDIT: This probably belongs in the Desktop Environments category, actually.

try the following from the bug [1] at ubuntu:

Code: Select all

Changing line

ret = super (PrettyButton, self).do_expose_event (self, event)

to

        ret = gtk.Button.do_expose_event (self, event)

(in /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/ccm/Utils.py)

ill +1 about it being broken. this is recent that it was broken the ccsm on my other box is not broken from 3 months ago. that file path does not exist on my box.

/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/Cython/Utils.py does but it does not contain the line that needs editing. i suspect the site posting is a work around not a solution to the root cause of the problem.

ccsm 0.8.4-r4

I had the same error.

Code: Select all

find /usr -name Utils.py
found the file however in a slightly different location

Code: Select all

/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/ccm/Utils.py
I found and modified the line and it works

Code: Select all

qfile /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/ccm/Utils.py
tells me it came with x11-apps/ccsm and

Code: Select all

equery depends x11-apps/ccsm
tells me that just compiz-fusion requires it on my machine. I emerged compiz-fusion not compiz
So I do not expect any side effect after having done this modification.
