Hi, I seem to be having problems with k3b finding my burner.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

AFAIK k3b uses udisks to detect burners. What does

Code: Select all

$ udisks --show-info /dev/sr0
tell you?
Did you get the polkit-0.106-update recently? Did you follow the postinst-instructions?

Also, turn that 'lspci' into 'lspci -k'.

Regarding sys-auth/polkit, I am using 0.104-r1 (all others are ~amd64)

As requested.

k3b can't find mine either... but I seem to have all the other recent polkit/udisks issue with polkitd userdir etc all fixed otherwise. Everything else recognizes the drive, the New Device notifier pops up when I shove a disk in........ it's just k3b and apparently ONLY k3b that doesn't find it.

I have udisks 1.98.0 and polkit 0.106-r5 installed. Since udisks 1.98.0 uses /usr/bin/udisksctl and NOT /usr/bin/udisks (it doesn't exist), one might think that k3b needs the "udisks" command to probe for the device. But I installed the older (1.0.4-r2) udisks in hopes it might solve the problem. It didn't.

As I said, absolutely everything else works just peachy.... except k3b.
