Give us the actual error messages when the build fails, please.

U need:

Code: Select all

# echo "media-libs/gd zlib" >> /etc/portage/package.use
& remerge

GES, this turns out not to be correct as that USE flag is already set for this build:
conoscenza wrote:media-libs/gd-2.0.35-r3 was built with the following:
USE="fontconfig jpeg (multilib) png static-libs truetype xpm zlib"
conoscenza, I'm compiling this version just fine under x86. This could be related to amd64 or it could be related to your (only slightly) aggressive CFLAGS. Try modifying your CFLAGS to

Code: Select all

CFLAGS="-march=native -O2 -pipe"
If this doesn't work, then a bug needs to be filed.

No no!
This is:

Code: Select all

media-libs/gd-2.0.35-r3 was built with the following:
USE="fontconfig jpeg (multilib) png static-libs truetype xpm zlib"
the previous build message!
Now re-install it.
`gdImageCreateFromGd2Part' is zlib reference.

Ah, I see that you're probably right. Sorry. This also is consistent with my [post=6944928]previous comment to conoscenza on another thread.[/post]

Thanks for the correction. :)

Thank you guys!
Now all it is ok...

I've done:

Code: Select all

echo "media-libs/gd zlib" >> /etc/portage/package.use
by root! ;)
