NWN without wm (in my case Gnome 2.4)

hi again!

I have weak system, but like NWN so it would be great to play without wm...
with gnome NWN workin fine (at last) but without wm: black screen, some sound (something like drinng) and this error:

(btw - this "3383" numbre every time I try to run nwn without wm is different)


(frozen-bubble running without wm without problems)

umm .. of couse I'am waiting for some advice, how to solve this problem (if i'ts possible).....

Try to use fluxbox as wm...it is really a paperweight and doesn't consume much.

i tried adding 'exec nwn' to my .xinitrc and
commenting the rest out and nwn ran fine,
without any window manager.

In xinitrc I commented out line witch runs gnome-session and wrote in /opt/nwn/nwn
it lunched nwn, only when I need to start gnome-session... -again must edit xintrc, an when nwn - again, again...

about FluxBox - wellll, after beauty of Gnome.... I am not going to give away good looking desktop for performance

Just curious: You can have more than one WM installed. GDM comes with a fine WM selector, so you can choose at startup and make one default.

I dont have gdm
