how do I launch evolution now that I have emerged it?

type "evolution" at your bash prompt. You can also find the location of any executable in your path by doing:

actualy I just realized that the emerge of evolution failed. It is not installed, and that is why I could not launch it:

Will aspell emerge manually as opposed to letting it build as a dependancy?

No it won't. Emerge aspell fails with the same errors. Funny thing is it worked on satarday...don't work anymore.

So it what you are telling me is that there is an issue with the package, not my system?

I did an emerge sync and im recomping a ton of crap. I'll let you know hat happens.

Yeah it is, but what's the fix?!

According to the home page of ASpell http://aspell.net/ the pspell/aspell combo is dead and will not be supported.

Aspell has become an official GNU project now as explained at http://aspell.net/ .

Does any one have the ebuild for the new supported Aspell?
