vlc qt4 interface error

My vlc player plays everything fine, but it always gives me the following error when I launch it:

Is it anything important? I have seen similar problems in other forums, but haven't found a solution.

What's your locale anyway ?
And I mean output of 'locale' by that.

Does this output include the errors ?
It's a bit odd it's not one of utf8 locales.

I set my locales to UTF-8 (en_GB.utf8), but the problem ramains the same.
