[SOLVED] building blender 2.55 - complains about libjpeg.a

How/where do I get libjpeg.a?

USE=static-libs emerge jpeg

Might want to try forcing static off in blender first though:

EXTRA_ECONF=--disable-static emerge blender

If the first works and the second doesn't, blender should depend on (||( media-libs/jpeg[static] media-libs/libjpeg-turbo[static])) and you might want to open a tracker ticket.

blender shouldn't be using static libjpeg.a, but shared libjpeg.so. so changing the deps is out of the question, it just needs to be fixed to use the shared library instead.

Ah .... I'm compiling this outside of portage - manually from blender's svn trunk.

Is there an ebuild somewhere for blender 2.55 beta?
