samba failed to start.

Hi,

I have emerged samba, but when I try to start it using the command /etc.init.d/samba start

I get the following output:

what's in your /etc/samba/smb.conf file? anything in the error logs in /var/log/something?

what a stupid mistake, i didn't have a config file!

I have a smb.conf file and still get this error the error I have in syslog for this is

samba failed to start.

I have installed Samba 3.6.21 and now I cannot start samba
