ok well before wehenver i wanted to get a new kernel version i had to

emerge the kernel sources

ln -sf /usr/src/newsources /usr/src/linux
then take it from there

because my modules wouldnt work if i didnt link it to /usr/src/linux for some reason

so i want to know how i can put both 2 kernels in my grub.conf, and have em work WITH the modules!

soryrya if this doesntmake sense, im kinda tired

make an entry for each bzImage

There's a bzImage for each kernel...the /usr/src/linux thing is for drivers like nvidia-kernel mergeing...

No. From my understanding linking /usr/src/linux is just for the building of the modules. Once they are built, /usr/src/linux can by linking to anywhere.

Of course, by modules I also mean the various packages in portage (ex. nvidia modules) that still require /usr/src/linux to be linked to the current kernel sources.

Hope this helps
