Hi all,

My xorg won't start, it just quits without errors. I'm rather clueless, any help is appreciated system info below.

Binary blob drivers such as fglrx are well known for problems.
To attempt to limit the problem space, please test with the vesa driver.

When that works, reintroduce the ATI binary blob.

You shouldn't need AGP support, unless you are using an old motherboard with an AGP slot on it. If it's a labtop, it should be modular, but I might be wrong. With the BBC codes, it's easier to read the output when it's in that format, so all your outputs should either A be in a bracket as so or B linked to a url to another website like paste.bin, usually for long outputs like an entire /.config file or something similar. I don't use ATI, I use Nvidia so I'm not exactly sure exactly how the fglrx driver works, but what Neddyseagoon was saying if you load a Vesa or Uvesa driver and your x-server is working with a GUI, then it's not any of your kernel or x-server config's and it narrows it down to be the ati-driver. The guides I posted, are just information on how to setup ati-drivers and getting them configured properly. If you try another driver like Vesa or Uvesa, then post the Xorg.log and we can take a look at it and hopefully narrow down the problem.
