I just wanted to check and see if anyone here has gotten USAA bank's Deposit@home working on Gentoo. It's only officially supported on Windows and OSX, but I've heard of people getting it to work on Linux by changing Firefox's user agent. Here's an example:http://www.miscfits.com/2009/04/usaa-de ... linux.html
I tried the instructions on that site and everything worked until I actually had to submit it
For those of you not aware of Deposit@home, it's a method of depositing checks to your bank account using your own scanner. On Windows, the site accesses your scanner directly, but on OSX it lets you scan it yourself and manually upload the images. It's Java based, so as long as you trick the site into thinking you're on OSX with Firefox or Safari it runs alright on Linux(except for the issue I'm having :S). I currently use Virtualbox with XP to make my deposits but I'd rather not have an entire VM on my machine just for that. Btw, I'm on a 64bit machine if it matters.
