We want to thank all the developers and users over the years for making Gentoo Linux what it is today, excellent!

As part of the Gentoo ten year anniversary below are the winners to the screenshot contest. There were a total of 54 entries. congratulations to the winners, I had a blast putting on the contest and getting a chance to meet so many Gentoo users.

Wow...it was 3 years old when I started using it...and back then, I thought it was brand new. Oh, well, in commemoration, we should post that thread from several years back which explained that Gentoo's death was imminent...what a hoot.

Gentoo -Extinct since the dinosaurs but still compiling...

Congratulations from one that used gentoo to switch completely over to Linux some years ago

I downloaded the combo, preview DVD about a week ago
(which worked flawlessly, thank you)
expecting it to have an installer. It didn't!

Does this live DVD include an installer?

Yeah, the source files would be nice to have. I would like to try my muscles at making a bootsplash from the wallpaper.

I you can't release the source files, I would like to have 1280x1024 one.

Anyway, Happy anniversary for the best linux distro out there and me, I turned 25 the same day.

Huge thanks to all developers and maintainers past and present (and future!) for all the hard work that they've put into helping Gentoo evolve. Really, really appreciate it.

Added bonus is that I've just built myself a new PC (first time at having a go at building from scratch) and am going with a nice new 10.0 profile*

LiveDVD is great and I like the artwork, very funky

* Currently having issues compiling a working kernel config, but thats a separate thread!

Still great distro, great community and my system hasn't reached 1.0 yet

Is it possible to buy the livedvd 10.0 somewhere? I don't have fancy colorlaser and nice dvd cases
