glsa-check -p affected crashing?

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

glsa-check -p affected crashing?

I get:

# glsa-check -p affected
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/glsa-check", line 191, in <module>
if myglsa.isVulnerable():
File "//usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gentoolkit/glsa/__init__.py", line 669, in isVulnerable
or (None != getMinUpgrade([v,], path["unaff_atoms"]))
File "//usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gentoolkit/glsa/__init__.py", line 424, in getMinUpgrade
or (minimize ^ (portage.pkgcmp(c_pv[1:], portage.catpkgsplit(rValue)[1:]) > 0))) \
TypeError: 'NoneType' object is unsubscriptable

Any ideas? I see nothing obvious on Gentoo bugzilla.

Have re-emerged portage & gentoolkit, also did "emerge --sync"

Thanks

An update - I emerged the 2 GLSA's related to my system (Lynx and Wireshark), now the error has disappeared.

I guess I'll wait until the next GLSA effecting me and see what happens.

Your not alone, I'm seeing that too. I was fiddling with glsa-check and it wasn't working for me and so I upgraded to the 0.3.0-rc7 and when I do

Code: Select all

 glsa-check -p affected
I get that same output.

But if you care, you can get a similar crash by doing

Code: Select all

glsa-check -l
. I'll look into it later cause I'm tired right now.

For clarity I did get that crash on 0.2.4.5 too. And I'm using Python 2.6

Well it started working for me. And I checked out all the potential culprits and they are still at the same version. And I didn't have any linking issues, so I'm at a loss as to what caused it.

Hopefully yours will just start working too.
