to run rtcw, i get a garbled looking thing, that i can make windowed with ctrl + enter, and i can pull the console down and manually type commands. i tried changing the resolutin to no avail,
any advice for a linux noob trying to get RTCW to work in Gentoo???

i was only using wine to get the pak files, cuz i looked all over the CD, and there were no pak files
like when i emerge rtcw
it said "just copy ^files listed above^ to ~/.wolf/main/
so i have no windows drive, so i installed it using wine, but thats it, im running it by typing wolf, not threw wine, i mean i already deleted the wine install,
i was fooling with it after playing Urban Terror (Quake 3 mod)
when the map on UT was over, i quit, and did my thing, watched conan
whatever, i came back to fool with RtCW, and when i run it....
I see the end of the map stats from my UT game,
and everyone saying gg and all that jazz....
what does that mean? and i wasent running it threw wine,
i ran it by typing

let me guess 2 things
you have an nvidia card??
it will also show the last opengl app that ran fullscreen
try running an opengl screensaver then doing it
mine does this too
it even used to show my last x screen after a reboot too which was strange
How many files are you soposed to get off the cd? All i can find in /mnt/cdrom/Setup/Data/Main is sp_pack1.pk3, sp_pack2.pk3, and sp_pack3.pk3, I coppied those and I get this error:

Ok, there was a cd2, I saw cd1 on the cd I had and had to go find cd2. From now on my cd1 will live in the case with cd2. And the world was at peace once again.
