Best Web Development Apps for Gentoo Linux???

Hope I'm posting this in the right place. Just wondering what ya'll use for web development apps. What about HTML editors? I've used Mousepad before but I have to say there are some things I do not like about it, although it does work fairly well.

Anyhow, I'm using a modified xfce.

Thanks.

I use Quanta plus for CSS and (X)HTML and KImageMapEditor for basic client side image maps. GREAT tools for beginers like me.

Its syntax highlighting - especially for mixed PHP+SQL/(X)HTML/CSS - is second almost to none. :)

I'd have to say for serious php I'd recommend Netbeans (yes they've probably the best php ide out there), also kdevelop's php plugin (dev-util/kdevelop-plugins from kde-testing) however kdevelop is still a bit buggy and might crush if you switch tabs too fast.
Both netbeans/kdevelop supports autocompletion, text highlighting, mixed code, etc.
Of course if you spend enough time messing with vim, it'll beat everything ;)
