Hello,

this is my second Gentoo installation :D and this time I decided to emerge kde. But now I encounter the same problem - has anyone a fix for this? Besides I dont't need an canon-patch, I use a Sony!

Thanks, Karsten.

Hello again,

I found a way to override this canon-patch but after this the patch isn't included!

Go into the /usr/portage/media-libs/libgphoto2/files directory an rename the canon patch file libgphoto2-2.1.2-canon.patch into ~.old with mv:

"mv libgphoto2-2.1.2-canon.patch libgphoto2-2.1.2-canon.patch.old"

Then make an empty ascii file libgphoto2-2.1.2-canon.patch e.g. with nano and save it.

Start the emerge process again! This time the canon-patch file is emptyand there's nothing to patch - but the emerge process goes on....

But if anyone knows what actually causes this problem, then post it here, thanks!

Karsten.
