To me this looks like the svn repository no longer includes kdmrc or they moved the location and the ebuild is looking for it to change some line(s) in it using sed before it installs it to your system. If that does not work edit the ebuild to not execute sed on kdmrc...
I am not using the live ebuild so I have not experienced this myself.

I am trying to find a revision which introduced a bug in plasma. The current version keeps crashing for me so I used ESVN_REVISION to go to an older version. I cannot go to any other version now because the kde.eclass does not update the svn because it has been < 1 hour since it was last synced.

one bad thing about 4.2.70 - plasma falls every now and then... almost any interaction with kills it.
for example - then i move a file, seen in the directory view into a directory on the same directory view this insta-kills my plasma.
also some strangy things with having kopete main and conversation windows, some times it kills plasma too.
guess i have to wait for another revision)

Today I wanted to install the new alpha version of k3b. However, since the kdeprefix use flag does not exist any longer for this package, I was unable to install it at the same time with the stable version 1.0.5-r3, though they are in different slots. Is there a way to fix this? I mean in my understanding, version s in different slots should be installable at the same time...

I'm assuming you got collision problems because the new k3b still installs things to common base directors ( /usr/[share, lib, bin, include] ) which collide with the old install. You can use the /usr/local as the prefix, or just quickpkg the old one so you can emerge -K it if the new one isn't good enough for you.Boccaccio wrote:Today I wanted to install the new alpha version of k3b.
